ADVANCED WEB DESIGN PHASES AND GUIDELINES, DELIVERABLES, AND POLICIES

REVIEW INTAKE: The mockup & website design and content will be based on the information provided in the Content Intake Form. If the designers or developers have any questions or clarifications, we’ll reach out to you. Once everything is clear, the project is assigned to a designer and a timeline will be provided.

REVISION WINDOWS: The windows referred to in the timeline are time allotted to the client to provide feedback. Any delays to this will result in an adjustment in the timeline. The work will be scheduled according to the availability of the workforce.

HOMEPAGE MOCKUP: The homepage mockups are based on the reference site provided and the information provided during the Intake call.

HOMEPAGE MOCKUP REVISION: The layout and design elements will be the focus of this phase. This includes minor revision requests. Placeholder text will be used if the content hasn’t been provided at this point. Revisions requested while the Revision Phase is in progress may entail additional charges.

INNER PAGE MOCKUP: Based on the homepage mockup design, the inner page mockups will be created. 2 inner page mockups will be designed, which will be based on 2 unique pages. The inner pages of the staging site will be based on the layouts produced in this phase.

INNER PAGE MOCKUP REVISION: The layout and design elements will be the focus of this phase. Placeholder text will be used if the content hasn’t been provided at this point. Revisions requested while the Revision Phase is in progress may entail additional charges.

DEVELOPMENT PHASE: This involves building the site based on the approved mockups. A staging link will be provided to the client for review once the Development Phase is complete. This will contain placeholder images and text, for now, the requested images (if there are any) and the copy will be added during the Content Integration phase. Design requests that are sent while the Design Phase is in progress will have to wait until Revision Phase 1.

REVISION PHASE 1: The design will be the focus of this phase. Revision instructions should be collated and finalized before sending them. This phase includes 4 hours of work. Additional revisions sent while the Revision Phase is in progress can be implemented during Revision Phase 2, however, please note that Revision Phase 2 has a limit of 2 hours.

  • Design requests that lead to a deviation from the approved layout will be charged accordingly. Ensure that all design requests are final to make the most out of this revision phase. If the revisions requested require additional hours due to an increase in the complexity of the project, it will be quoted. If no revisions were requested and the site is approved after Design Phase, this revision phase will not be available for later use. Remaining minutes aren’t transferrable or can’t be carried over.

APPROVED CONTENT (If the client purchased content): After the staging site is complete, the copywriters will be creating the content based on the staging. The copy takes 10-15 business days to complete. Once the copy is complete, it will be sent to the client for approval. Revisions can be requested.

CONTENT INTEGRATION: The approved or provided content (copy and images) will be added to the website. An update will be provided to the partner to review the website once the Content Integration Phase is complete. Any additional content provided while this phase is in-progress may be added during Revision Phase 2 as long as the work required doesn’t go over the time limit for the revision phase.

  • The content integration phase for this package includes 8 hours of work. Multiple file uploads, menu item integration, and other content integration resulting in additional hours may incur additional charges that will be quoted accordingly.
  • The package includes 15 free Shutterstock images. The client may choose the images or let the developer choose for them. The client may also provide images to be used on the site. Small and low-resolution images may not be placed on the site to maintain the site’s quality.
  • The selection window for the Shutterstock images is available only during the duration of the project and you can only change the images once. All images are considered final and approved after the completion of Client Revision 2.

REVISION PHASE 2: The content and images will be the focus of this phase. Final adjustments can also be done. Additional revisions sent while the Revision Phase is in progress will be quoted. Shutterstock image watermarks will be removed in this phase. Once the watermarks are removed, the images will count towards the total free (15) Shutterstock images allocated to the website package.

  • Ensure that all revision instructions are final to make the most out of this revision phase. If the revisions requested require additional hours due to an increase in the complexity of the project, or if the revision window had already been consumed, it will be quoted. If no revisions were requested and the site is approved after Content Integration Phase, this revision phase will not be available for later use. Remaining minutes aren’t transferrable or can’t be carried over.

QA & MIGRATION: QA checks (Pre & Post-Launch QA and Revisions) will be conducted by our Web Development Team to ensure that the site is mobile-friendly and dynamically responsive for modern browsers and devices. As an added measure, we install Akismet free of charge, to help prevent spam commenting on the site and submitting forms. During this period, our developers will require access to hosting so please ensure the access credentials and tokens have been provided. Once the site has been migrated, our Web Development Team goes through the site once more to ensure the site is fully functional and working as intended through our predefined checklist.

  • In line with Google’s new policy, all websites need to have an SSL certificate (it can be purchased with the hosting service)

POST- LAUNCH QA & OPTIMIZATION: To ensure that the website is working properly in a live environment, a quality check is done. We also optimize the website for page speed and ensure that there is no malware. The credentials to the website are provided after the completion of this phase.

  • We use Google PageSpeed Insights to check the site’s speed. Our aim is to get a score of 50-70 for mobile 85 and above for desktop to meet industry standards. It is important to note however that the site speed score will vary depending on several factors like third party integrations, the number of images, videos or widgets, the server’s performance, website scripts, etc.

POST-LAUNCH SUPPORT: As an extra measure, we will provide support within 10 days after the site after the project hand-over. We highly discourage logging in and making changes to the website during this period. We are not liable for any damage(s) caused by changes made to the website by a client.
